Subclass 408 Temporary Activity visa

A subclass 408 Temporary Activity visa allows a person to come or stay in Australia to undertake specific types of activity on a temporary basis. This visa is better known as a kind of visa that allows foreigners to visit Australia for a range of different activities including social, cultural and research activities, and international events.

 

Specifically, it covers:

  • (a) Australian Government Endorsed Events,
  • (b) Special Program,
  • (c) Religious Work,
  • (d) Research activities,
  • (e) Invited for other social and cultural activity (Invited Participant),
  • (f) Sporting Activities,
  • (g) Entertainment Activities,
  • (h) Superyacht Crew,
  • (i) Exchange Arrangements, and
  • (j) Domestic work for executives.
