Subclass 407 Training visa

A business or organisation operating in Australia may sponsor a foreign person to apply for a subclass 407 Training visa to undertake workplace-based occupation training.

 

The occupational training may be for any of the following purposes.

  • (a) To satisfy registration or licencing requirements relating to their occupation.
  • (b) Improve or enhance skills in an eligible skilled occupation through work-based structured and tailored training program.
  • (c) Professional development through work-based structured and tailored training program.

 

Applicants applying for this visa must have functional English language proficiency.

 

The visa grant period will depend upon the training program but generally up to a maximum period of 2 years.
