Sean Dong

Sean Dong is the Principal Migration Advisor and Director of ProActive Legal. Sean became a Registered Migration Agent in 2010 (MARN: 1066448) and has a profound knowledge of immigration law. He is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) and the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA).


As the Director of ProActive Legal, Sean not only dedicates his time assisting clients with visa and migration, but he is also responsible for company marketing, strategy planning and expansion.


Sean is a dedicated leader with strong entrepreneurial interests having initially graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce. His interests in immigration law subsequently saw him complete a Master of Migration Law & Practice at Griffith University followed by a Master of Laws at the Australian National University. 

 

Sean is extremely experienced with all types of visa applications including General Skilled Migration, Employer Sponsored Visas, Partner & Parent Visas and Business Innovation & Investment Visas. Furthermore, Sean has an exceptional aptitude for resolving complex immigration matters, such as visa refusals, Notification of Intention to Consider Cancellation (NOICC) and visa cancellations, health and character issues and Public Interest Criteria (PIC) waivers. Sean has extensive experience in both the Migration & Refugee Division and the General Division at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT)

 

As a highly reputable and knowledgeable migration agent, Sean is a strong advocate of Melbourne’s migrant community. Sean is regularly invited by various media outlets, such as ABC, Herald Sun and others, to provide commentary on immigration policies. In addition, Sean produces and posts many informative videos about Australian immigration law and policies on YouTube which are liked by many.


Sean also dedicates considerable time to community projects. He is the president of Elite Talks Inc, a non-for-profit organisation providing help in career development to young migrants and has also served as a committee member of the Asian-Australian Foundation. Sean, with his extensive leadership and entrepreneurial talents, devotes his time and energy to driving the growth of the firm, in conjunction with being a resounding voice for the migrant community.
